Alison Hammond has issued a clear demand to Josie Gibson as she confirmed her 'last day' on This Morning. Josie has been back at the helm of the ITV daytime programme this week following its first live return on Tuesday (January 3) since before Christmas.
Former Big Brother winner Josie has been hosting the hit show alongside Andi Peters. The pair were the last duo to present This Morning live in 2022 after ITV star Andi was drafted in to replace Craig Doyle who had been Josie's sidekick previously the same week.
They had stepped into the main hosting role in place of Alison and Dermot O'Leary who presented the first week of the festive shows following Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield finishing up their stint on the show for the year in mid-December.

And as Josie and Andi steered the two-and-a-half-hour show daily this week, This Morning fans were commenting on social media about the pairing and issued a demand. @vickster51 tweeted: "I think Andi Peters & Josie Gibson should stay as regular presenters #ThisMorning." @sparkloaf26 posted: "@thismorning where is Holly amd phill can u get andi and josie to say please #ThisMorning."
@tvreality93 commented: "Actually really liking josie and andi presenting together #ThisMorning." @UKTVForever echoed: "#ThisMorning I Love Josie & Andi presenting." @Rhianlovesbooks added: "Andi and Josie and Alison and Dermot should be the permanent hosts #ThisMorning The show is so stale with Phil and Holly now."
However, Josie has revealed that it's all change. Taking to Instagram with a glam snap of herself in the corridors behind-the-scens at This Morning, she typed: "Last Day on the sofa tomorrow [Thursday], thank you for being a dream boat the last two days @andipeters."
She then revealed: "I am with angel face @dermotoleary tomorrow and then I hand over the reins to the one and only @alisonhammond55 with @dermotoleary." The mum-of-one then rounded off her post: "Thank you so much for tuning in and thank you for having me over Christmas and New year. I've had a scream!"
Alison, who spent Christmas with Josie alongside their sons Aidan and Reggie, was quick to comment on Josie's post. "Don’t ever go," she penned to which Josie replied: "The Nations need you Hammando!" And fans appeared to agree with Alison as they flooded the post with the same comment
@miss_shaw__ wrote: "Time for a reshuffle i think we need more Josie time on the Sofa. Out with the old.. I would watch it more." @chantiliz said: "Please stay permanently! It should be either you and Vernon or Craig the 1st half of the week and then Alison and Dermot the 2nd half of the week. I know others will agree with me too."
@hijenns commented: "Can we please just get a show with you and @alisonhammond55? Give the UK what they want." @brandage_a echoed: "You should present this morning more! You’re one of my faves! You and Alison together would be the best." @peppermintdreamsevents added: "You should be on full-time, you're a natural, so genuine, humble and fun, perfect combination."
