Alison Hammond was less than impressed by a This Morning guest who said she would not work with overweight people.
Personal trainer Samantha Yardley appeared on the ITV show on Wednesday to discuss her claim that she would not hire someone who was overweight regardless of their skills.
Presenter Ruth Langsford discussed Yardley’s appearance on the show ahead of her interview segment, telling husband and co-host Eamonn Holmes that she is “a fitness instructor who says she will refuse to work with somebody because of their weight.”
Holmes, 60, then suggested that she “wouldn’t work with [him],” prompting Langsford, also 60, to warn that her views “may be hard for a lot of people to digest.”
As the camera then panned over to an unimpressed Hammond on the other side of the studio, Holmes clarified: “I didn’t say a word about you!”

Hammond, 45, then asked: “So what’s she saying, because I’m big she doesn’t want to work with me?”
Langsford replied with “She thinks if you’re overweight, you’re lazy,” prompting her colleague to hit back with a challenge for Yardley, promising that she could “probably run rings around” the trainer.
“I’m not being funny, come and train me babes, let’s have a laugh, we’ll have fun and I’m not lazy, I'm up for it,” she said.
“I'll probably run rings around you! Come and train me, I’m up for it, how about that?”
Later in the show, Yardley claimed that '”there are certain things that we do have the ability to change that we should take responsibility for” and that “weight is one of them.”

Earlier this week, Hammond suggested that she had been treated differently while filming reality show Celebs Go Dating because of her weight.
“When I did Celebs Go Dating, do you know when they do the pre-titles and you do all the little bits to camera?” she told Fleur East on her new podcast.
“I noticed the producer had some hot dogs on the side and I was doing my little blowing the kisses to camera.
“And I was wondering about it and then he brought a hotdog over and went: ‘Oh, can you just eat a hot dog?’
“So then straight away I said, ‘What do I need to eat a hot dog for?’ when I realised, ‘Oh it’s the fat person eating.'”
