Alison Hammond brutally insulted by Santa Claus as he appears on This Morning

Alison Hammond was left in shock after being brutally insulted by Santa Claus on Friday's This Morning.

Santa joined Alison and co-host Dermot O'Leary live in the studio as they hosted their last show of the year a nd, just as he did last week when he spoke to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, he took questions from children via video call.

One of them came from six-year-old George, who asked: "Why are you so old but you look so young?"

Seeing the funny side, Santa replied: "I think we should be asking Dermot this question!" before adding: "If you watch Doctor Who, the doctor regenerates, I do something different...I rejuvenate.

"Which means that everyone so often I get younger. Which is why sometimes I look different, I rejuvenate. This is why when you see me, you think 'oh Santa looks a bit different! It's still me but the face has changed slightly."

After listening to what Santa had to say, Alison remarked: "That's amazing Santa because I have the same thing," to which Santa asked: "Do you?"

Alison added: "I rejuvenate," before, aiming at savage insult at her, Santa quipped: That Oil of Ugly is working very well!"

A startled Alison replied: "You cheeky thing Santa!" before Dermot moved things on swiftly after Santa insisted: "I'm only playing."

After taking the next question, Santa joked about his "naughty sense of humour," and viewers were certainly a big fan of his jokes as one tweeted: "santa should be working more than 1 day a year he should be on the comedy circuit Never mind HoHoHo should be HaHaHa"

A second reacted: "This Santa on #thismorning is comedy gold."

Another one of Santa's jokes saw him tell Alison and Dermot he was having a Brexit Christmas dinner...without the Brussells.
