Alison Hammond announces new ITV role after landing Friday This Morning slot

Alison Hammond has revealed a new role with ITV after landing Friday's This Morning slot.

The presenter is now a regular face on the daytime show after being made the permanent host of the final show of the week alongside Dermot O'Leary.

Alison, 45, has been part of the This Morning family for many years interviewing celebrities and taking part in various segments.

Following her official presenting debut last week, Alison has now announced another gig within ITV.

She uploaded a cryptic picture on Instagram of her name on a dressing room door on the set of  Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Not giving too much away, she wrote to her 839,00 followers alongside the snap: "Exciting!!!!"

TTV has told the Express that it's just "guest pre-show filming" with more details set to be revealed nearer the air date.

Saturday Night Takeaway hosts Ant and Dec have already confirmed their return to the telly with the the award-winning show.

In teaser tweet about the new series: "What the hell's going on here? We're back at work that’s what! Bit of covid-compliant @itvtakeaway filming."

An air date wasn't confirmed by the pair.
