Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary in stitches at This Morning chef's cheeky innuendo

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary couldn't contain their laughter on Wednesday after one This Morning guest made a rather cheeky comment.

The pair were back on TV screens as usual hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield continued to enjoy their festive break, and they were joined by baker Juliet Sear.

At the beginning of Wednesdays episode, Alison and Dermot were discussing what was coming up on the show when they mentioned Juliet's Mini Eggs cookie recipe.

Juliet commented: "As soon as Santa unloaded his sack, onto the shelves piled the Easter eggs..." as the camera cut to Dermot's face looking rather shocked.

Alison was heard making a funny noise as Juliet continued: "Straight away and people are loving it, really good to snack on. So I thought I'd turn it into a giant cookie today."

Dermot couldn't help but mock her comment and replied: "Giant Mini Egg cookie pie after Santa unloaded his sack!" as Alison giggled next to him.

This Morning viewers thought it was hilarious and took to Twitter to comment.

Dermot looked shocked by Juliet's comment about Father Christmas (ITV)

"Santa unloaded his sack? Dirty boy!," a fifth person joked.

Elsewhere on Wednesday's show, father-of-one Dermot admitted that he was 'surprised' to still be hosting the ITV show this week.

As Wednesday's episode opened at 10am, Dermot and Alison were seen dancing as Eminem's track Without Me was being blasted out in the studio.

"Yes we are back!" Alison told viewers as Dermot added: "I mean it's a day late! We were here yesterday, why didn't they play this yesterday?"

"I know, I know!" Alison replied as Dermot then asked: "Are they surprised we're back?"

"Everyone's surprised!" Alison then said as Dermot admitted: "You're no more surprised than we are to be back!"
