Alice Cooper has been spotted out and about in Cardiff

Rock legend Alice Cooper performed in Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena this weekend - and it looks like he's been having fun in the Welsh capital.

Before the gig, the Poison singer popped into the city centre and was spotted at a popular city joke shop.

On Saturday, the Detroit-born star took a walk along Duke Street, where he stopped at The Joke Shop opposite Cardiff Castle.

Later that night during his gig, which was the last night of his UK run, Cooper took to the stage wearing a number of outlandish outfits.

But he got the Welsh crowd on side during his encore when the singer came out sporting a white top hat and jacket, before removing the jacket to reveal a Welsh football top with the number 18.

It's believed that he wore that number, after his song I'm Eighteen and he had "Cooper" on the back.

It had been donated by the Football Association of Wales.

One fan at the show, Mason Sully, said: "Literally came out of nowhere, bit of shock personally, but it got the biggest cheer of the night.

"In a seated arena he had all of us on our feet, obviously you know the deal with us Welsh being very patriotic."

The 26-year-old, from Newport, added: "When he introduced his band, one of his guitarist Tommy Henriksen he said he was from Cardiff to get a big reaction but then confirmed he wasn’t but it sounded cool."

Here's Alice Cooper rocking that Welsh shirt:
