Ali Reghba confirms he will leave Bohemians for Leicester City

Ali Reghba has confirmed his departure from Bohemians and he will join Leicester City in the coming days.

The Ireland under-19 international, who signed a one-year deal with Bohs in February, impressed on trial with the Foxes during a January trial.

The midfielder had also attracted interest from a number of Championship clubs, including Leeds United.

Reghba could travel to Armenia for the UEFA under-19 European Championships next month. He was called up for Tom Mohan's training camp in recent days.

The teenager was hauled off by Gypsies boss Keith Long not long after coming on as a sub in the second half of the last-gasp league loss to Dundalk in May.

Reghba had already been yellow carded and looked likely to be booked again. With Bohs already down to 10 men, Long felt compelled to act.

Although he made one more first team squad, it was to be his last appearance for the Phibsboro club.

He was influential for the club's under-19s, who won the league and Cup last term, and he also scored in the UEFA Youth League qualifier against FC Midtyalland of Denmark last October.

Thanking the club for the last two years, Reghba added: “Some big, big [memories] that will stay with me forever and very thankful for all the coaches and staff that have helped me on my journey to where I am now.

"Made some friends for life on the way too".
