Ali Crawford makes Bolton Wanderers transfer plans clear amid St Johnstone success

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ali Crawford is keen to extend his loan spell at Scottish side St Johnstone past January.

The 30-year-old joined the Scottish Premiership club in the summer having fallen down the pecking order at the UniBol.

He scored the winner against Dundee United at the weekend and has made it clear where he wants to play his football.

“The loan is until January but I’m hopeful that it will get extended until the end of the season,” said Crawford, speaking to The Courier.

“I’m enjoying my football here. Hopefully I can keep popping with goals and help us climb the league.

“I 100% want to stay but unfortunately it’s not down to me.

“If the club want to keep me until the end of the season I’ll be more than delighted to do that.”

Crawford arrived at Bolton in 2019 and was a regular in the side at the start of last season before losing his place and leaving for Tranmere Rovers on loan.

He moved north of the border in the summer and has made eight appearances for the Saints, scoring twice.

His Bolton contract expires in the summer.
