Ali Crawford: "It's now up to me to show what I've got"

Ali Crawford is ready to show the St Johnstone support what he is capable of.

The 30-year-old midfielder has joined the Perth club on a six-month loan deal from Bolton Wanderers.

Crawford was previously a standout performer for Hamilton before earning a move south of the border to Doncaster Rovers.

He would later join Bolton and spent the second half of last season on loan at Tranmere Rovers.

Having witnessed what Saints achieved in 2020/21, Crawford is hoping to help keep the good times rolling at McDiarmid Park.

Crawford said: “This is a great opportunity for me and I thank St Johnstone for getting this deal done.

“St Johnstone had an unbelievable season and to do a cup double was just brilliant. It’s now up to me to show what I’ve got.

“There is strong competition for places and I know I’m going to have to be at a high level to get into the side.

“But every football club needs a strong squad and it will be good to have everyone pushing each other on.”
