Algeria Repatriates 105 Malian Terrorists

Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, deputy minister of the National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, checked readiness of soldiers at military sites on the border with Mali, while a local newspaper revealed that the Algerian authorities decided to repatriate 105 extremists who were condemned by the judiciary for charges of terrorism.

The Algerian Ministry of Defense published Salah's speech which stressed the authorities' keenness to implant the spirit of victory in the minds of military individuals, and to teach them methodologies to achieve victory on field.

According to Salah, it is essential that the national army be informed of the changes and the accelerating events in the world – the national army should be aware of the possible risks and threats.

He urged the cadres to remain a role-model. The deputy minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army stated that the army managed to maintain highest levels of fighting readiness in every time and every place.

In the same context, El-Watan newspaper revealed that Algeria will repatriate 105 Malian terrorists.

Algeria decided to repatriate them by air to Bamako, after consultation with the Malian diplomatic mission in Algiers, he added. According to the newspaper, the Malian extremists were involved in a criminal network that has extensions in five states in the south of the country.

The majority of Malian extremists belong to Ansar Dine that is headed by Iyad Ag Ghaly, top wanted member by the authorities. The newspaper added that these terrorists had in-hand logistic potentials that allow them to disperse in the desert cities – some of them were arrested in the capital.
