Algeria has closed its airspace to French military planes, French Colonel Pascal Ianni told Le Figaro newspaper and Agence France Presse (AFP) on Sunday.
Officials at the French Armed Forces Ministry had no immediate comment to make on the matter.
Earlier this weekend, Algeria recalled its ambassador to France for consultations after what it called "irresponsible" comments attributed to French President Emmanuel Macron.
