Alfredo Morelos turns on the style in Rangers training and Steven Gerrard loves it

Alfredo Morelos kicked-started his season with a hat-trick earlier this week as ran riot in the 6-0 win over St Joseph's.

Admittedly, Rangers were up against some very modest opposition, but the striker does seem to be getting up to full speed.

Record Sport exclusively revealed on Saturday that Eintracht Frankfurt are weighing up a bid for the Colombian, having watched him several times over the past few months.

Morelos has been no stranger to transfer speculation since arriving at Ibrox in 2017 but doesn't appear to let it affect him.

In fact, he looked razor sharp in training ahead of Sunday's friendly against Blackburn.

Rangers offered a glimpse into their preparations with a clip taken from some small-sided games at the Hummel Training Centre.

And Morelos draws plaudits from Steven Gerrard as he pulls off a cheeky nutmeg before scoring.

"That'll be on social media in a bit!" shouts the Rangers boss after the ball hits the net.

And, sure enough, it was.

Meanwhile, there's been further transfer rumours at Rangers with skipper James Tavernier tipped for a move to Newcastle.

According to a report in England, the right-back has emerged as a top target for new boss Steve Bruce.

The Ibrox captain, however, reaffirmed his love for the club on Saturday as he marked four years since signing with a post on Instagram.

Tavernier has been linked with a return to England before with the likes of West Brom and Aston Villa.
