Lille could be about to sign two new strikers in the coming days, in a boost to Rangers' bid to hold onto Alfredo Morelos.
The Colombian had been the subject of bids from Lille and the Ligue 1 side were expected to come back in with a new £17m bid in the coming days.
But they are set to complete the signing of Burak Yilmaz, while a new offer is on the table for Genk frontman Jonathan David.
Veteran Turkish striker Yilmaz has been at Besiktas for the last two seasons and scored 25 goals in 41 games for the club.
But he left in the summer and is now set to complete a move to the French outfit. Canadian wonderkid David has already been the subject of bids from Lille also.
The Belgian side had turned down two offers for him but reports in France say Lille are going back in with a new €30m offer and hope that it will be accepted over the next couple of days.
That leaves them with two new frontmen with the sale of Victor Osimhen also set to be completed in the coming days.
That leaves Morelos' future up in the air again, with Steven Gerrard insisting he is in charge of whether the Colombian is sold by Rangers.
The Ibrox boss insists it's up to him whether a bid gets accepted and reckons nobody has come near to the money Rangers want for him.
He said: "There’s nothing to report on him in terms of his situation. He’s focused, he’s training well and he’s available for tomorrow.
"In terms of whether he’ll start, you’ll find out 75 minutes before kick-off tomorrow.
"It’s in my hands, it’s in my control. For any of our players in terms of going out the door, if a valuation is met and we decide collectively it’s the right decision for the football club, we’ll be prepared."
Morelos is likely to start at Pittodrie against Aberdeen, though, with Jermain Defoe out injured.
