Rangers will already be preparing for life after Alfredo Morelos insists club legend Mark Hateley amid on-going links with Porto.
The Colombian striker is wanted by the Premeira League outfit with reports in Portugal stating a deal is close for the Ibrox talisman.
El Bufalo was wanted by Lille last summer before putting the saga behind him to help bring the Premiership to Govan last term.
However, Light Blues hero Hateley believes that the interest from Ligue 1 will have already set the gears in motion behind the scenes.
He told BBC Sportsound that Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson will already have a number of options lined up if he leaves Glasgow this summer.

Hateley said: " Rangers are at a stage now where they are prepared for every eventuality
"They are always going to be proactive under this regime.
"If Alfredo leaves, there will be two or three targets identified already. If you can't get A, you move on to B and C."
Reports in Portugal state that Sergio Conceicao's side have table a €12million with potential add ons, with Rangers holding out for a bigger fee.

Pundit Kevin Phillips has backed the stance of the Premiership champions over one of their prized assets, insisting that if they were an English Premier League side a price tag of £30million would be demanded.
He told Football Insider : “If Rangers were a Premier League club they could probably demand £30million for him.
“It’s a little bit cheap, Rangers will want £20million I’d imagine. That would be a serious offer that they could consider.
“Rangers won’t let him go on the cheap, let’s put it that way. They will hang on and get the best price possible. £13million is cheap for him.”
The potential exit stumbling block appears to come down to the differing valuation between Rangers and the Portuguese giants.
In Portugal, reports have emerged that state €12million with an additional 20 per cent sell-on fee is the latest offer to be put to the Ibrox board.
