Alfredo Morelos transfer hint dropped as 'big offers' could see Rangers relaunch by Lille

Lille president Gerard Lopez admits he can't guarantee that Jonathan Ikone will stay - opening the door for a renewed pursuit of Alfredo Morelos.

The Ligue 1 side have already had a £16million bid for the Rangers striker knocked back, while Jonathan David signed from Gent.

However, after selling Victor Osimhen to Napoli, the French outfit could be set to lose another forward in the shape of Ikone.

The 22-year-old has been linked with Chelsea and Leicester, and the Lille president admits they'll have to sit down and discuss his future.

If the French international does leave, Morelos is the most likely replacement.

Lopez said on Telefoot of Ikone: "He's an interesting player, and that's the problem!

"He has the ability to make a huge difference, he's a player who is in the France team.

"Everyone has to agree on the way to move forward - there are big offers for him.

"I'll sit down with the players and their entourages this week.

"We've had offers for (Renato) Sanches and (Luiz) Araujo, which we turned down.

"We need to sit down with the players and talk about it, aside from Boubakary (Soumare) who is a player I love but who has to be patient because we only play two in the middle.

"The door's open for him if he wants to leave, but for the rest we need to discuss things."
