Alfredo Morelos suffers fresh Colombia snub as Rangers striker left out of squad again

Alfredo Morelos has again been snubbed by Colombia as he was left out of boss Carlos Queiroz' latest squad.

The Rangers striker has started the season in fine form, bagging nine goals already in all competitions.

But with the Colombians take on Brazil and Venezuela during the upcoming international break, Morelos will not be involved.

The 22-year-old has three senior caps to his name after earning a call-up last term, making his first start against South Korea back in March.

He was dealt a heavy blow by failing to make his nation's 40-man preliminary Copa America squad - which included no fewer than 10 strikers.

It was speculated Morelos had been omitted due to his poor disciplinary record, picking up five red cards in 2018/19.

Elsewhere on the international front, there was joy for Morelos' Ibrox colleague Ryan Jack .

The midfielder has secured a place in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for two crucial Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The Scots take on Russia and Belgium at Hampden looking to upset the two group favourites on home soil.

And Jack, who would've been included in Clarke's last squad but for injury, is in line to feature.
