Alfredo Morelos sparks Rangers fan rage with social media Champions League exit blunder

It's been a tough week for Rangers fans - topped off by a Champions League exit.

Steven Gerrard has endured three consecutive defeats in a row for the first time in his Ibrox tenure, however the second leg defeat to Malmo will be the most painful.

With fans back in the stadium and the hope of a group stage push in the minds of the players and supporters, it came crashing down against the 10-man Swedes.

Alfredo Morelos ' goal had put the Premiership champions in front but it wasn't enough with an Antonio Colak double silencing the full house.

However, the Colombian talisman seems to have shrugged off the disappointment pretty quickly.

Taking to his Instragram page, El Buffalo shared a selection of images following his goal and celebrations - putting the actual result to one side.

That has caused confusion and backlash from Rangers fans, who feel there is little to celebrate from the Tuesday night defeat.

One commented a reminder: "We lost the game mate."

A fellow Ibrox diehard continued: "C'mon son not the time."

Another disappointed punter adding: "Widny be posting this after last night performance."

With qualification for the group stage worth around £30million following the defeat, Morelos has been touted as among the players who could leave the club this summer.

The forward is one of their most valuable assets and has been heavily linked with a move to Porto this summer, though no official offer has arrived.
