Alfredo Morelos shares his Rangers joy after breaking Celtic duck as striker targets Scottish Cup glory

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos finally broke his duck against Celtic this month and can't hide his joy.

The Colombian has been prolific since moving to Ibrox in 2018 but hadn't found the back of the next against his side's arch-rivals.

That run ended earlier this month when Morelos headed home at the back post as Rangers took a 1-1 draw at Parkhead.

With three goals in three games and the Premiership title in the bag the striker was named player of the month for March.

And asked on Rangers TV about his favourite goal for the month, El Bufalo couldn't help but break into a grin.

Morelos replied: "Good point... the Celtic goal!

"I'm very happy with my form, everything that has happened football-wise on the pitch and with everything that has happened with the club this month.

"First we became champions and now I have the player of the month award too.

"So I'm really happy and now I want to contribute even more to the team."

Steven Gerrard 's side have already wrapped up the title, but Morelos insists they're still as focused as ever for the end of the season.

He said: "The whole team has been focused on winning the league since the beginning of the season.

"We played our hearts out in every league game and we also had a good Europa League campaign.

"I'm really pleased because we managed to win the league so early, that's something very positive for the club.

"We know we've done really well and we're really happy.

"We still have a few games left to play and we'll have the same motivation and desire to win them.

"Even though we're already champions we have the same desire and belief to win the Scottish Cup and we're excited to get back to playing soon to give everything for the fans, they really deserve it."
