Alfredo Morelos set for another Colombia chance as Rangers striker is included for friendlies

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been included in a 34-man squad for Colombia friendlies in November.

The 23-year-old played twice during last month's fixtures against Chile and Algeria and is likely to be involved again for Carlos Queiroz's men.

The bog squad will be cut before the games against Peru and Ecuador on November 15 and 19. Both matches are set to take place in America with the first in Miami and the second in New Jersey.

Morelos is one of nine forwards named by Queiroz, which also includes Europa League rivals Luis Sinisterra of Feyenoord and Porto's Luis Diaz.

Not all of the attacking options are out-and-out strikers with the likes of Diaz, Rafael Borre and Juan Quintero all used in wide or No.10 roles.

Morelos is yet to score in his five caps for Colombia since making his debut against Venezeula as a second-half sub in 2018.

Further appearances came against Japan and South Korea before his friendly appearances last month although he missed out on the Copa America due to his indiscipline for Rangers.

Former Manchester United assistant boss Queiroz had hinted that his red card against Celtic, which led to a lengthy spell on the sidelines, cost him his place.
