Alfredo Morelos's wife provides update on Rangers striker's condition

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is on the mend after catching Coronavirus whilst in his homeland of Colombia.

The 24-year-old tested positive after travelling home for his country's 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Argentina, and was sent to self-isolate shortly after.

But his wife Yesenia has posted a positive update on the Gers striker's condition on her Instagram story.

But on a page titled 'Si o no', Yesenia responded to a question asking 'Alfredo feeling better?'' with a simple: "YES!"

The Colombian FA released a statement late on Friday confirming that Morelos and one of the team physios had tested positive for the virus and were following all of the required protocols.

It means the goal-hungry hitman will miss at least one game of his country's upcoming double-header but could be fit to be considered for the Copa America opener against Ecuador on June 15.

Morelos has established himself as a crucial player to Steven Gerrard's side after banging in 17 goals last season, and he has ten caps and one goal for Colombia to date.
