In-demand Alfredo Morelos has been saluted for modifying his game with Rangers establishing themselves as top dogs in Scottish football.
Steven Gerrard and his players romped to the earliest Premiership title win in history last season as they finished a whopping 25 points ahead of Celtic.
Morelos netted just 17 times - his lowest season tally since arriving in 2017 - but his all-round game was lauded as the 25-year-old modified his game by improving his hold-up play at the top end of the pitch.
And that has led to Rangers coach Michael Beale describing him as a "butterfly" and admitting he has been aided in his work with El Bufalo due to time he spent coaching in South America with Sao Paolo.
Morelos has been strongly linked with Porto this summer and reports have intensified in recent days that he could be heading to the Estadio Dragao next season.
Beale has nothing but kind words for a player who has become Gerrard's talisman and established himself as an Ibrox hero for years to come.
Speaking to Coaches' Voice, he said: “Alfredo Morelos is like a butterfly at times. As Rangers have become a better team, other teams have sat back. If Alfredo comes short, someone else goes long.
“My time in Brazil was great in learning about South America, which has helped me work with him.
“Some of the players in Brazil need to be a football player, it’s not that they want to be. Social, economic and family reasons.
“The culture’s fascinating. Standing back and understanding the culture, the good and the bad, was great for my development.”
