Alfredo Morelos Rangers transfer news as Porto forced into 'game of patience' for striker

Porto continue to be linked with Alfredo Morelos as Portuguese media warn they must play "a game of patience".

The Rangers striker has been heavily linked with a move to Portugal, with some outlets stating personal terms have already been agreed.

His agent Michael Gorman was in the Iberian country but, as revealed by Record Sport , he was there finalising Colombian international Yerson Mosquera’s move to Wolves.

Despite that, A Bola remain convinced that Morelos is the man Porto want to replace Moussa Marega after his move to Saudi Arabia.

But the newspaper warns the transfer will be a "game of patience" as Rangers hold firm on their asking price.

They believe that fee to be around €15million (£12.8m) though the Ibrox club knocked back a similar bid from Lille last summer.

Porto are said to be confident they will get their man though with a lack of competition from elsewhere.

Serie A side Cagliari are believed to have seen an offer of £6.8m knocked back earlier this summer.

Porto are "in contact" with Gorman to discuss a move but, as Record Sport revealed they are yet to submit an official offer.
