Lille captain Jose Fonte has issued an update on the club's transfer activity amid links with a move for Rangers star Alfredo Morelos.
The French Ligue One side have already signed Canadian striker Jonathan David from Gent for a hefty £27million fee.
And Fonte says he was the man they really wanted this summer, and are in "good shape" at the moment.
Reports emerged last month that Lille had agreed personal terms with Morelos, and Ibrox boss Gerrard even said the Colombian's head had been turned by the speculation.
However a transfer failed to materialise with suggestion that Rangers' valuation for the player hadn't been met.
Talking of Lille's transfer business, 36-year-old former Southampton star Fonte told talkSPORT: "To be honest I think we are in good shape. We got the striker that we wanted in Jonathan David.
"We got the Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz. We have one or two young boys who have been with us a few years so in that aspect I think we are okay.

"So if another one comes and he brings the level up then we will be happy with that but I'm quite comfortable with the squad we have at the moment.
"There might be one or two exits and some other players coming in but at the moment I'm happy."
