Alfredo Morelos Rangers summer transfer 'agreement' revealed by sporting director Ross Wilson

Ross Wilson has spoken of an "agreement" between Alfredo Morelos and Rangers which would allow the Colombian to depart Ibrox in the event of his valuation being met.

The sporting director says there were bids for the frontman but none of them met the valuation set by the club.

Wilson spoke to Rangers TV about the club's summer transfer business, and why their position on Morelos was slightly different to their Ryan Kent stance.

He said: "It was never in any of our plans that Ryan Kent would leave Rangers. That was clear.

"Alfredo is slightly different. Again, lots of noise. Not a lot of it right, I've got to say.

"There was interest in Alfredo. We had an agreement with Alfredo that if there was a club that met a valuation we had in mind for him then we would look at it.

"That valuation wasn't met. We rejected some offers for him because they didn't meet that valuation. He remains with us going forward and we'll see what the future holds for him."

Reflecting on the summer window as a whole, which saw Rangers bring in Ianis Hagi, Kemar Roofe, Cedric Itten, Leon Balogun, Calvin Bassey, Jon McLaughlin and Bongani Zungu, Wilson added: "We approached it with a strong plan, and having reached he end of the window we feel like we've more or less achieved everything we set out to achieve.

"We feel the squad's in a really strong position after the closure of a really long window."
