Alfredo Morelos' Rangers sportsmanship earns Romelu Lukaku salute as Inter star gives 'fair play' verdict

Inter Milan superstar Romelu Lukaku has saluted Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos after a display of outstanding sportsmanship against Antwerp.

The Colombian had been looking in the mood for Steven Gerrard's men and already bagged a goal when he challenged for the ball with Jérémy Pierre Gelin.

The defender immediately pulled up without any contact as he grasped the back of his thigh, clearly in distress from what looked like a hamstring injury.

Seeing the issue Morelos immediately stopped and held up play to allow treatment despite being in an excellent position to go on threaten the goal.

And it was a moment that impressed former Manchester United striker Lukaku, whose brother Jordan is playing in the game.

He said on Twitter: "Fair play to Morelos from Glasgow Rangers.

"Through on goal and stopping for an injury of the opponent.. great sportsmanship."

Gelin was substituted during the half-time break and replaced by Frank Boya.
