Porto have unveiled former Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso as their latest signing.
And he could soon be joined by Alfredo Morelos if the Portuguese giants get their way
The centre back signed for the Ibrox club back in 2018 under compatriot Pedro Caixinha but made just 12 Premeirship appearances for the Gers before heading back to his home country.
But he’s now penned a five-year deal with Dragoes in what he described as the biggest move of his career.
Cardoso said: "I have no words to describe this moment. It's one of the happiest days of my life, without a shadow of a doubt. I still don't believe it.
"It's a dream come true to reach such a level, in one of the biggest clubs in the world. “I am very happy and ready to start working.
"I've worked for many years to have this opportunity and it finally came. I'm prepared to grab it. It's the biggest step in my career and I'm looking forward to getting to work and showing what I'm worth.”
Speculation that Morelos will be reunited with his former Rangers teammate intensified after the Portuguese media reported that his agent is due in the country to meet with Porto’s president.
It’s claimed the pair will thrash out personal terms for the striker who could be in line for a bumper deal worth €2million a year.
Porto are understood to be willing to pay over £10million for Morelos, but whether Rangers will sell at that price remains to be seen.
