Caring Alfredo Morelos is lending his support to another charity project in his homeland as uncertainty surrounds his Rangers return date.
Steven Gerrard revealed on Friday he is uncertain as to when the striker will return with Champions League qualifiers looming on the horizon.
Morelos was given extra time off after playing for Colombia in the Copa America, although he only played a total of nine minutes in the tournament.
And he spent the weekend launching the Cordoba Valle de Titanes charity project, along with fellow Colombian international Miguel Borja, who plays for Palmeiras.
The project attempts to get underprivileged kids off the streets and into playing organised football and other sports instead and has been endorsed by the Rangers star after he promised to help the project.
Cordoba Valle de Titanes director Leidy Moreno Zuluaga said: "It's incredible for us to have the support of international football players like Alfredo Morelos and Miguel Borja.
"They have given up their own free time to support this project and will carry our banner all across the world.
"They are an inspiration to the young people of the Cordoba region and they listen to them.
"Alfredo and Miguel both came from the streets here and have gone onto enjoy fantastic careers. Our young people know that thanks to both of these men, everyone who follows their dreams has the opportunity to be a success."
The Rangers star previously launched the Alfredo Morelos Foundation to provide food and clothing to the poor in the region he was raised in Colombia.
