Alfredo Morelos Rangers exit likely to be agreed this week says Kris Boyd

Kris Boyd says he expects an agreement regarding Alfredo Morelos' exit to be agreed this week.

Morelos has been the subject of intense speculation, with reports last month suggesting that Ligue 1 side Lille had agreed personal terms with the Rangers striker.

Boyd, who scored 138 goals in 234 games for the Ibrox club across two spells, believes the arrival of forwards Cedric Itten and Kemar Roofe spells the end of the Colombian's time in Glasgow.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Scottish Football Podcast, Boyd said: "I don't think Rangers would have brought in two strikers if they were to keep Morelos. To have four strikers to play that one role… it's not going to happen.

"We said last week Rangers had to get two strikers in, they've done that without even selling Alfredo Morelos, and I think towards the end of this week we'll see something agreed.

"The French window doesn't open until August 15, there's not much that can be announced before that, but it can all be agreed and tied up in place.

"When you look at it, your value is only what someone is prepared to pay for you. There's no doubt they've got a talented footballer there, but there is a lot of flaws to his game, and teams will look at that."

Morelos is part of the Rangers squad for tonight's Europa League second leg against Bayer Leverkusen.
