Rangers will be without star striker Alfredo Morelos as the squad jets out to Sweden without the Colombian international.
El Bufalo missed the first game of the season as he quarantined after returning from South America, having represented his country in the Copa America before a post-tournament holiday.
On Sunday Morelos posted a picture on Instagram from his house, indicating that his mandatory isolation period is over.
However, as reported by Record Sport last week, it appears he has not yet been able to join up with Steven Gerrard's side as they jet out to face Malmo without him.
Rangers are looking to advance to the Champions League play-off round against Olympiacos or Ludogorets.
The Ibrox club have not reached the group stage since the 2010-11 season, and are in the competition for the first time since being eliminated by Malmo in the 2011 qualifiers.
They'll face a tough task in the first leg, with Leon Balogun, Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe all out.
Nikola Katic and Ryan Jack will also miss the first leg through long-term injuries, as well as star man Morelos.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Porto this summer, though qualification for the Champions League may incentivise El Bufalo to stay.
