Alfredo Morelos on his charity drive as Rangers star vows to 'never forget my people'

Rangers star Alfredo Morelos pledges to "never forget my people" as he opens up on helping the needy in his hometown of Cerete.

El Bufalo has returned to Colombia during the coronavirus shutdown, and has been doing charity work during his enforced break from football.

The Rangers striker has been handing out food parcels to the poor and he has spoken about the reward of his charity work.

Morelos said: "I will never forget my people, my neighbours and friends who all need a helping hand in these difficult times.

"It's an emergency situation for everyone and I want to do what I can to help.

"I wanted to donate food to help everyone cope with their difficulties. It's important for me to help the people here in Cerete who still have to work every day.

"For me, it's rewarding to help the neediest people, especially just now.

"We earned a living with what we received, but we make life with what we give."
