Alfredo Morelos in Steven Gerrard Rangers relationship admission as striker reveals 'difficulties' now resolved

Alfredo Morelos has lifted the lid on 'difficulties' with Rangers boss Steven Gerrard but admits the pair have now put their issues behind them.

The Colombian striker was the subject of a £16.5m bid from Lille in the summer but Ibrox power brokers held firm, insisting their star man was worth more.

After a slow start to the season, marked by indifferent form, the Colombian came alive in October and has been a key figure in the team's success since.

Morelos has already won the Scottish Premiership and has now target a Scottish Cup to add to his burgeoning trophy haul.

Speaking to media in his homeland, the striker admits life in Govan hasn't always been plain sailing but he's now very happy in Scotland and with his gaffer.

He said: "I feel very happy here. We have a target now - the Scottish Cup - and the team have done very well in both the league and in Europe.

"Now I want to keep scoring goals and getting assists.

" Steven Gerrard is a legend and a great person. I have had difficulties with him, but we have fixed it. He showed confidence in me and I have responded. We have a nice relationship.

"I feel happy in Scotland and I love representing my country too.

"When we won the league everything was crazy. People lived it to the fullest because it had been ten years without winning the League.

"It was something very nice because people came out and enjoyed it. I am very proud to get the title.

"I am happy at Rangers and I want to win the Cup with them. If opportunities come up for me, we will analyse them."
