Alfredo Morelos in Rangers squad as Ibrox men fly out for Europa League clash

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has joined the rest of the squad in flying out to face Lincoln Red Imps, indicating his injury may not be as bad as first feared.

The Colombian got a nasty gash to the knee after being caught by Dundee United midfielder Ryan Edwards in Saturday's win.

El Bufalo had to be stretchered off but he was included in Steven Gerrard's squad for the Europa League.

And Morelos has flown out with the rest of the Rangers squad, indicating he may at least be fit for a place on the bench on Thursday.

Speaking after Saturday's match Gerrard said: "Morelos has got a gash on his knee, it's a deep one but it's probably the best scenario we could have hoped for.

"From the side I'm thinking 'Is it a cartliage or an injury that could keep him out for a long time?'.

"It's just a gash. He might be available for Thursday, knowing Alfredo he'll want to be available."

Gerrard will be without winger Brandon Barker, who suffered a muscular injury, while Ryan Jack is a doubt with a calf problem.

Both are in the squad that has been posted on UEFA's website for the second qualifying round tie.

However winger Jordan Jones, who was not in the pool initially, was pictured flying out from Glasgow Airport.

It therefore appears Gerrard has taken the opportunity to amend his squad.
