Alfredo Morelos in Rangers pyro party as star toasts first Celtic derby strike with garden smoke bombs

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos' first ever goal against Celtic was one to savour - as he celebrated with smoke bombs in his back garden.

The Colombian banished his derby duck after 15 attempts when he arrived at the back post to nod Leon Balogun's flick-on over the line.

It was a crucial goal as the home side had led through Mohamed Elyounoussi's header and were well on top in derby day.

But Morelos' goal ensured his team weren't on the losing side and kept their unbeaten league record intact going into the split as champions.

His record in games against Rangers' arch-rivals is well documented.

And so his celebration in an empty Parkhead, the '55' hand gesture also seen against St Mirren a fortnight ago, will be savoured by fans for a long time.

The Ibrox frontman however wasn't content to leave it at that as he let off some pyro in his garden with wife Yesenia.

In the snap posted to her Instagram story after the match the pair held up red, white and blue smoke bombs in celebration.

The strike was Morelos' 11th league goal this season as the race heats up to finish as Premiership top scorer.

Hoops goal machine Odsonne Edouard is out in front on 16 followed by Hibs' Kevin Nisbet on 12, while Morelos' team-mate James Tavernier and another Hibee in Martin Boyle join him on 11.
