Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos has admitted he hopes the opportunity to leave Rangers will come "soon" after a summer of transfer speculation.
The Colombian was been heavily linked with a move away from Ibrox throughout the window with Porto keeping tabs on the striker, although Record Sport understands they failed to firm up any interest.
Now Morelos has now lifted the lid on the speculation on Colombian station Caracol Radio, admitting he hopes to be given the green light to leave the Premiership champions.
However, he also stressed he is content in Steven Gerrard ’s squad.
He said: "You heard a lot about my departure, that Porto or several teams that made a proposal, but did not reach an agreement with Rangers, so my stay in Rangers continues and I feel happy.

"I started in the best way, scoring goals and what is to come. That's important to me.
"The offers have been there. An agreement has not been reached with the teams.
"I am calm and I am a young player, I hope that soon the opportunity to leave will be given.
"Here at Rangers I have already been champion, I have made history and we hope that it will happen; the opportunity to come out in the best way."
When asked about the possibility of playing in one of Europe's 'big five' leagues – the English Premier League, the Bundesliga, La Liga in Spain, Serie A and Ligue 1 – Morelos added: "Each player wants to improve each day and be in a better league, in a more watched league.
"This league (Scottish Premiership) has taught me important things in my career.
"I have started in the best way, the previous one I scored many goals. Also, may it be God's opportunity and may a big step be taken soon. "
