Alfredo Morelos in Rangers 'can't say' transfer admission as striker fronts up to non-stop speculation

Honest Alfredo Morelos insists he has no clue about his long-term future but has guaranteed supporters his focus remains solely on Rangers.

A money-spinning move to Lille now appears unlikely after the Ligue 1 side secured a deal for £27m No.1 target Jonathan David.

Morelos has been linked with a string of clubs in Italy, Spain and England as teams continue to monitor the man who netted 29 goals last season.

And the Colombia international is dealing with fervent speculation as Rangers exit rumours continue to swirl.

Morelos has moved once again to reaffirm his dedication to the cause under Steven Gerrard but concedes he will consider any offer that is presented to him and his representatives.

Speaking to ESPN's Nexo show, he said: “Everything I have done here has attracted much more attention.

"We are waiting for everything.

"I can't say if I'm leaving or not, so far I'm a Rangers player and I'm focused on Rangers.

"If there is an opportunity to move to another league, I will analyze it."

It comes after former teammate Andy Halliday lavished praise upon Morelos and the key role the all-action striker plays within the Ibrox dressing room.

“We did rely too much on Alfredo to score goals, but the squad has been strengthened.

"Everyone knows he's a maniac, but as a team-mate, he is a joy. He is just full of carry on - always just trying to wind people up.

"But, when balls are kicked, it is 100 per cent commitment.

"He's got his faults with the number of yellow cards, there is a discipline problem, but it is a fine line with Alfredo because a big ingredient to his success is that fire within him.

"He is a loveable character. I know a lot of the boys at Rangers appreciate him as a person and what he brings to the team."
