Alfredo Morelos is in “good health” despite testing positive for Covid.
The Rangers striker is on international duty with Colombia for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers and the Copa America.
Morelos is now in self isolation after testing positive alongside one of the physios.
But it's good news for Steven Gerrard and the Premiership champions after an update was given on his condition.
But the Colombian FA released a statement confirming that the 24-year-old wasn;t suffering any ill effects.
"The technical staff of the Colombia male senior team reports that, following biosafety protocols, RT PCR tests were carried out and two positive cases for Covid-19 were found, the player Alfredo Morelos and the kinesiologist José Rendón.
"After knowing the positive results, following the protocols, the respective isolation of the two people was carried out, who at the moment are in good health."
Colombia face Peru on Friday 4 before taking on Argentia four days later in their bid to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
It’s then on to the group stages of this year’s Copa America, which is being held in Argentina.
Reinaldo Rueda’s men kick-off their campaign against Ecuador before taking on Venezuela, Peru and Brazil, with Morelos likely to be given the all clear in time for the latter games at least.
