Alfred Hospital, Ballarat construction sites among latest on COVID-19 exposure list

The Alfred Hospital was last listed as an exposure site on September 6 and is again a tier 1 site. (ABC News: Patrick Rocca)

The Alfred Hospital Emergency and Trauma Centre has again been listed as a tier 1 exposure site after a COVID-positive patient attended the hospital on September 14.

That positive case attended The Alfred between 5:20pm and 10:45pm.

It is the second case of tier 1 exposure this month at the emergency department following a positive case attending on September 6.

In addition, multiple construction sites in suburbs around Ballarat have been identified as tier 1 exposure sites, including:

  • A construction site at 155 Majestic Way, Delacombe, between September 8 and 10
  • A construction site at Lot 5 Cerberus Lane, Canadian, on September 10
  • A construction site at Lot 626 Nozawa Street, Winter Valley, on September 15

Greater Ballarat was sent into a snap, seven-day lockdown yesterday after the detection of four COVID-19 cases.

Anyone who has visited a tier 1 site during the exposure period must get tested and isolate for 14 days.

Check the table below to find all sites of concern as well as their exposure windows.

You can find information on testing site hours and the nearest site to you on the Department of Health website.
