Alfie Lewis completes move from St Pat's to Plymouth

Alfie Lewis has completed his move from St Patrick’s Athletic to Plymouth Argyle.

The English midfielder, 22, impressed at the Saints last year after joining on loan from West Ham United.

And he remained with the Dublin club when his Hammers deal expired in the summer and helped St Pat’s clinch the FAI Cup.

But having initially sounded out Lewis in the summer, Plymouth were persistent and have finally got their man.

Pilgrims boss Steven Schumacher said: “Alfie was a good prospect at West Ham and has gone and played a year of men’s football in Ireland.

“He’s a player we highlighted in the summer and we feel he’s one we can develop and hope he can be a big player for us now and in the future.”

Director of Football, Neil Dewsnip added: “I’m really pleased that Alfie has decided to join us.

“While we have had to wait a little longer to sign Alfie, we are all delighted that we have added him to our group.”
