Alexis Sanchez set to be offered Man Utd escape route - with one condition

Alexis Sanchez’s nightmare spell with Manchester United could come to an end this summer as Inter Milan keep an eye on his situation.

The Chilean has endured a miserable time at Old Trafford following his arrival from Premier League rivals Arsenal in January last year.

Club chiefs are keen on offloading the former Barcelona forward at the end of the season, given how much he has struggled for form.

Sanchez has managed just one league goal and three assists in 18 appearances this season, and his first-team chances have been limited under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And The Independent claims that that Italian giants Inter are keen on bringing the Chile superstar to the San Siro ahead of next season.

However his staggering £500,000-a-week wages at United could prove a huge stumbling block in any potential deal.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been keeping tabs on his situation in Manchester, but have no interest now the striker is 30 years old.

Sanchez would have to drop his wage demands significantly, it is claimed, for Inter to step up their interest.

The Serie A giants are also keen on bringing United outcast Antonio Valencia to Italy this summer, with the defender out of contract the summer.

Valencia has also been touted with a move to the MLS, but Inter could rival any interest given they are desperate to sign a new right-back.
