Alexis Sanchez's huge Man Utd salary unsettled three first team players

Alexis Sanchez's huge Manchester United salary unsettled three high-profile first team players since his move in January last year.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal man has made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring a lowly five goals and making nine assists.

The 30-year-old is set to leave on loan for the season to join Inter Milan, who will only pay £175,000-a-week of his wages.

The Chilean's contracted wage is £400,000-a-week, earning him more than any other player on the books and according to The Athletic , David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera were all unsettled.

The winger has had a turbulent time since his move from Arsenal 18 months ago, as a result his relationship with both the players and the coaching staff never has seemed to have taken off with the club.

Sanchez earns an estimated 30 percent more than the next highest earner.

And, according to the same report, a public airing of his salary had directly influenced ongoing negotiations with Spain's No.1 David de Gea.

With some believing that the 28-year-old keepers form had also been affected by the contractual uncertainty.

Paul Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, reportedly felt his client was unfairly paid in comparison to Sanchez.

And now, Raiola believes that every representative of a United player who has since entered contract negotiations with the club, will have raised the Chile international’s salary as a barometer of their own client’s value.

Spanish midfielder, Ander Herrera, left after not getting the pay rise he desired with the Red Devils.

Herrera signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a free in early July.
