Alexis Sanchez has reacted with glee after recording his first Inter Milan goal - but has hit back at the decision to send him off.
Manchester United forward Sanchez made his first start for Inter since his summer loan move from Old Trafford in their league clash with Sampdoria on Saturday.
He scored in the 22nd minute to double the Serie A side's lead with a close range finish before he was dismissed in the second half after he was shown a second yellow card for simulation.
Despite going down to 10-men, and conceding, Roberto Gagliardini pounced to seal the three points for Inter, who have won their first six league games of a season for the first time since 1966-67 and only the second time in their history.
And Chilean Sanchez was "happy" with the result for the San Siro outfit, although believed he should have been awarded the deflected first goal and was "unfair" to have been sent off.
Sanchez wrote on Instagram in a message with a picture of him celebrating with his Inter teammates: "Happy for the win, for the attitude of the team and my first two goals.
"But sad for the expulsion, for me unfair ... now to think about the next game!"
The victory restored Inter's two-point lead over Juventus at the top of the table ahead of a meeting between the sides at San Siro next Sunday, while Sampdoria are rooted to the bottom of the table after taking three points from the opening six rounds.
But Sanchez, who replaced rested ex-United striker Romelu Lukaku in the starting XI, will now miss the clash with Juve.
Inter coach Antonio Conte told Sky Italia: "Fortunately, the way it finished, I can look at the glass half full.
"I'd prefer a more relaxed match on an emotional level, as we absolutely dominated the first half and were in complete control.
"Finding ourselves in that situation and emerging with a victory fortifies us. It helps us realise we can consolidate success and continue playing our football even when down to 10 men."
