Alexandro Bernabei's Celtic transfer 'hours' away as quick-fire Lanus exit predicted for left back

Alexandro Beirnabei could depart Lanus “in the next few hours” ahead of his potential move to Celtic.

The Argentine left back has been left out of his club’s last two matches to apparently conclude business in Europe.

And it’s understood a switch to the Celts could be close after Lanus slapped a £3.75million asking price on Bernabei.

A fee is yet to be agreed between the two clubs, but the number Granate are looking for isn’t likely to deter the Hoops in their pursuit.

Now Argentinian outlet Engrandos claim that the 21–year-old could be heading for the exit today.

Lanus take on Colon tomorrow night in their next Primera Division clash, but it’s almost certain Bernabei won’t be involved.

And he could even be on his way or in Glasgow by then should Celtic meet the valuation.

Ange Postecoglou wants the defender in order to provide competition to Greg Taylor.

Hammarby’s Mohanad Jeahze had been heavily linked towards the end of last season, but Bernabei appears to be the Aussie’s first choice in that position.

Discussions over a permanent deal for Portuguese winger Jota continue, while Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza is a wanted man after Ajax joined Celtic in the race for his signature.
