The owner of a cat missing for three weeks says she is desperate to be reunited with her pet.
Karen Coll’s beloved Oreo was last seen on Tuesday, April 6 but never returned home.
It is further heartache for the Bonhill mum who lost her cat Penny in 2019 after it was knocked down on Northfield Road, near her home.
Speaking about Oreo today (Tuesday), Karen, told us: “He just never came home and the not knowing what has happened is really difficult.
“We got him after our other cat got run over.
“It’s three weeks since he has been missing and it is just heartbreaking.”
Karen, who has put posters up across the local area, says apart from a couple of calls there has been no sight of the two-year-old tom cat.
Thanks to donations from friends, she is putting up a £500 reward for Oreo’s safe return.
She went on: “We phoned the council and the Cats Protection League and nothing.
“We’ve spoke to the person who would deal with cats if they are knocked over on the road but we have just hit a dead end.
“People have said to us they can go missing for weeks at a time but it has been three weeks now and we are just living in hope.”
Mum Karen was left devastated when Penny was struck by a driver who didn’t stop in May 2019.
And another of her cats Poppy was also hit on the road later that year.
She campaigned to the council for speed bumps to be installed on the road to prevent further incidents.
