Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Calum Chambers and Alexandre Lacazette have defended themselves after criticism was aimed at a number of Arsenal players following the 2-2 draw against Norwich City.
In a video posted on Sunday, the Gunners squad can be seen getting off the team coach at Carrow Road for Freddie Ljungberg's first game as interim head coach.
The young mascot is shown standing in the tunnel wearing the kit in which the Gunners wore against the Canaries.
But as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shkodran Mustafi, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Calum Chambers walk towards the dressing room they walk straight past without acknowledging the child.
The incident was caught by Norwich's social media team as they put the footage on their Instagram Live story.
However, Chambers has taken to social media and cleared up what actually happened.
"The cameras sometimes only show one side of the story," Chambers wrote on Twitter. "It's always great to meet our Junior Gunners mascot in the dressing room before every match.
"We hope Billy had a great day at Norwich on Sunday and it was a pleasure to meet him."
This also prompted a response from captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who said: 'Thanks Calum, i wanted to sleep but i saw these [profanity] then wanted to reply but you quicker than me so i Go back to sleep a Bit.'
The striker's tweet was then replied to by Alexandre Lacazette, who joked: 'Sleep well fam.'
Arsenal drew the game 2-2, but needed a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to rescue a point after Norwich had twice taken the lead through Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell.
