Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has broken his silence following his injury setback.
The Frenchman, who has netted two goals in three appearances so far this season, has been ruled out of this weekend's Premier League clash against Watford at Vicarage Road.
An initial time-frame for his return is at some point next month.
Arsenal confirmed the news with an injury update on their official website shortly after head coach Unai Emery had spoken to the media.
"After assessments to an ongoing ankle issue, we have advised that Alex will need to rest and strengthen his ankle to regain full fitness.
"Alex has been playing through this injury for several weeks. He is likely to be back in action in October."
Despite the injury blow Lacazette appears to be in positive spirits.
Taking to social media, the popular striker had a message for supporters.
"Already started my rehab and looking to the future," he tweeted. "Thanks everyone for your messages!!"
Lacazette's injury does leave Emery with somewhat of a selection headache ahead of the game against the Hornets.
Whilst it's likely that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will move into his favoured centre-forward role - after starting out wide against Tottenham Hotspur before the international break - the question is who joins him and Nicolas Pepe in the forward line.
The natural thinking is to suggest that Reiss Nelson will be afforded the chance.
After all he did start the first two games of the season.
But some fans are suggesting someone else.
