Alexandre Lacazette drops hint over Arsenal future amid Barcelona transfer links

Alexandre Lacazette has referred to Arsenal being his 'home' amid reports linking the France international with a move to Barcelona .

It was claimed earlier in the week that the 28-year-old was a target for the Spanish giants after netting 19 goals for the Gunners last term.

Losing the former Lyon man would be a blow for Unai Emery's men, with Lacazette having formed a clinical partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal fans, though, may have nothing to fear if Lacazette's latest post on Instagram is anything to go by.

In a post showing his return to pre-season training at the Gunners' Colney Heath base, the 28-year-old set his location as 'My Home'.

The picture itself was captioned: "Two years now am in Arsenal. I just want to say thank you to everyone. Thanks for all the love and strength you give me."

That post certainly got Arsenal fans excited, with AFTV regular Troopz replying: "My bruddah."

Lacazette also shared the picture on Twitter , where one fan commented: "And we love you too Lacazette. Hopefully we see you in an Arsenal shirt for many more years to come."

Another added: "You're going to win the Golden Boot for the Premier League 2019-2020 season. Mark this tweet."

Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in the summer of 2017 for a fee believed to be in the region of £46.5m.

The Frenchman enjoyed a fruitful first term in North London as he struck 17 times in 39 games in all competitions.

The 28-year-old continued to regularly find the net last term, but his goals could not help return the Gunners to the Premier League's top four.

With Emery having to work with a limited budget this summer, it is expected Arsenal will sell some of their players in order to fund moves for key targets.

But it remains to be seen whether the Gunners are willing to let Lacazette go amid interest from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
