Alexandre Lacazette delivers his verdict on Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's new look

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is back at Arsenal following international duty.

And he has returned to London Colney ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash against Liverpool with a brand new hairstyle - one that caught the attention of teammate Alexandre Lacazette.

Aubameyang can now be seen sporting braids in his hair which is a distinct change from his last appearance for Arsenal against West Ham United last weekend.

At the London Stadium, the Gunners captain had his usual haircut but struggled to influence proceedings and was substituted despite his side needing a goal to draw level after fighting back from 3-0 down.

Mikel Arteta opens up on Arsenal's transfer plans after financial loss announced

Perhaps the change of hairstyle might just be a warning for the rest of the Premier League and the Europa League, as it may inspire Aubameyang to end the season strongly.

With that said, the general reaction from his teammates appears to have been positive.

In fact, Lacazette took to social media to share his verdict.

As seen in the image below, the Frenchman uploaded a video to his Instagram account of Aubameyang in the changing room after training and compared his teammate to rapper Travis Scott for the similarity in hairstyle.

"Travis Scott is in the building," Lacazette posted.

A break from club action might have been just what Aubameyang needed as last week he inspired Gabon to a 3-0 win over DR Congo to seal their place at next year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Not only did he get on the scoresheet in the 86th minute, but he also claimed an assist for Denis Bouanga.

However, Aubameyang's star performance for Gabon has handed Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta a major blow for next season.

As mentioned above, Gabon will now be competing in next year’s Africa Cup of Nations which takes place in January and February 2022.

This means, depending on how far Gabon go in the tournament, Arteta could be without his star man for up to a month next season.
