Alexandre Lacazette breaks Arsenal players' social media silence after shock Crystal Palace loss

Alexandre Lacazette insists Arsenal will "fight and believe until the end" after their hopes of a top four finish suffered a major setback against Crystal Palace.

A string of calamitous defensive errors by Arsenal saw Palace claim a 3-2 win at the Emirates Stadium that leaves the Gunners in fourth place ahead of Chelsea's Monday night game against Burnley, where Maurizio Sarri's side can reclaim a top four berth.

Arsenal players were studious in avoiding any awkward questions after their defeat, appearing only in front of broadcasters and club media whilst most dodged post-match interviews with the written press.

Indeed there had even been a unanimous silence on social media among the defeated players until Alexandre Lacazette posted on his channels just before midday.

"We Win Together.. We Lose Together," he wrote on Twitter. "Fight, and Believe until the End !!"

A top four finish remains in Arsenal's hands with four games left of the season. If they win all of their remaining fixtures they are guaranteed to finish at least fourth, if not better.

Speaking after the defeat to Palace Arsenal head coach Unai Emery challenged his side not to wallow in self-pity before they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night.

"I have the confidence in our way and I want to be positive today because this season we have been working and fighting to be in this key moment with the possibility to be in the top four, and we are," he said. "We are also in the semi-final of the Europa League and we can be proud of all the season.

"Today we can be frustrated, but tomorrow stand up and be ready for the game on Wednesday against Wolves knowing it is going to be very difficult but it is in our hands."
