Alexandra Burke 'splits' from footballer Angus MacDonald after 15 months

Alexandra Burke has split from her boyfriend Angus MacDonald after 15 months together, it's claimed.

The X Factor 2008 winner, 32, has deleted all trace of the footballer, 28, from her Instagram account, including pictures of all the birthdays and holidays that they enjoyed together during their relationship.

According to the MailOnline, the pair have "amicably split" and "remain good friends".

Their romance reportedly came to an end after, like many couples, they struggled to spend time together during the coronavirus lockdown.

It's claimed Alexandra removed all of her pictures of the Rotherham United defender to cut ties from him.

A source told the publication: "Alexandra and Angus both have busy careers and it's been hard to see each other during lockdown.

"It felt like the best decision for them to cut ties and for Alexandra that involved removing any pictures of them together from her Instagram."

Mirror Online has contacted reps for the couple for comment.

Alexandra and Angus went Instagram official in July 2019 in a now deleted post.

They got together just weeks after she ended her engagement to Josh Ginnelly.

She supported Angus after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer in August 2019.

Angus was given the all-clear last Christmas after undergoing surgery to remove his entire bowel.

He credited her with helping him get through his cancer battle, saying in a recent interview: "I had the weekend with Alex and she knew something wasn't right. On the Saturday night, I broke down and told her the news.

"I would rather have just dealt with it alone and I didn't want to upset anyone but she was reassuring. I don't know what I would have done without her support."
