Alexander Milosevic to link up with former club following Nottingham Forest exit - reports

The news of Alexander Milosevic’s departure from Nottingham Forest certainly came as a surprise to many.

The centre-back departed the City Ground by mutual consent on Monday, and left the club without making a single first-team appearance this season.

Milosevic was signed by Martin O’Neill for the second half of last season, and made 12 appearances for the Reds .

But the emergence of Joe Worrall at centre-back with captain Michael Dawson has meant that Sabri Lamouchi never turned to Milosevic .

The 27-year-old posted a message to Forest supporters after his exit , thanking them for their backing during his time on Trentside.

But what next for the former Forest defender?

Reports in Sweden claim that Milosevic will link up with his former club, AIK Solna, who he left to sign for Forest earlier in the year.

The report add that Milosevic will train with the Swedish club to keep up his fitness ahead of potentially re-signing for the club when the transfer window opens in January.

As per FIFA rules, Milosevic cannot sign for another club until then - unless they play in a league where business is still ongoing.

Should Milosevic join AIK, it would be the third time that he has signed for the club in his career, having already had two spells at the Swedish outfit.
